ELECTION

To either of the Constables in the Town of Templeton, in said County.
GREETINGS:
In the name
of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and
warn the Inhabitants of the precincts of the Town of Templeton,
County of Worcester, qualified to vote in Town
Elections to meet in their respective precincts at the places designated and
appointed by the Selectmen, to wit:
Narragansett Regional
Middle School
Back Entrance to
Gymnasium
460 Baldwinville Road
Baldwinville, MA 01436
On Monday,
the 10th day of September next, at 11 o’clock a.m. to bring in their
votes to the Election Officers on one ballot as follows:
Five questions
as follows in the following form:
- Shall
the Town of Templeton be allowed to exempt from the provisions of
proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay the
Town’s allocable share of the bond issued by the Narragansett Regional
School District for the purpose of paying costs of replacing roofs at the
High School/Middle School Complex, including the payment of all other
costs incidental and related thereto?

- Shall
the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional Two Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) in real estate and personal property taxes
for the purpose of funding drainage improvements and the reconstruction of
various Town roads for the fiscal year beginning July first two thousand
seven?

- Shall
the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional Sixty-One
Thousand, Four Hundred Dollars ($61,400.00) in real estate and personal
property taxes for the purposes of purchasing and equipping one new
command vehicle for the Fire Department and one new Meals-on-Wheels
vehicle for the Council on Aging for the fiscal year beginning July first
two thousand seven?

- Shall
the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional One Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) in real estate and personal property taxes
for the purpose of purchasing and equipping a six-wheel dump truck for the
Highway Department for the fiscal year beginning July first two thousand
seven?

- Shall
the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional One Hundred Seven
Thousand Dollars ($107,000.00) in real estate and personal property taxes
for the purposes of installing a new roof at the Templeton Center School
and for carpet replacement at the East Templeton Elementary School for the
fiscal year beginning July first two thousand seven?

The polls will open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
And you are
hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof in
each Precinct: namely at the Post Office
in Templeton, the Post Office in East Templeton, the Post Office in Baldwinville, at Cote’s Market in Otter River, and at the
Town Office Buildings located at 4 Elm Street, Baldwinville,
and at 690 Patriots Road, Templeton, and by delivering a copy to each of the
Precinct Clerks seven (7) days at least before the time of holding said meeting
and by causing notice of the same to be published once in the Gardner News, a
newspaper published in said County in the City of Gardner.
Hereof,
fail not and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to each
Precinct Clerk seven (7) days at least before the time of holding said
meeting.
