Templeton’s Veteran Services

At the start of the Civil War, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ state legislature formalized the assistance provided to veterans by establishing M.G.L. Chapter 115 and Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services.

In April 2014, pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 115, and authorized by the Secretary-Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services, The town of Templeton was able to provide its own service to the many Veterans of Templeton, Baldwinville and Otto River.

Templeton serves eligible veterans residing in only Templeton, Baldwinville, and Otter River.  The Town provides access to programs and services from federal, state and local government departments and agencies to the men and women who have borne the burden of military duty–and to their families.

M.G.L. Chapter 115 enables every eligible Massachusetts veteran to receive certain financial, medical, and other benefits earned by military service. Templetons’ Director of Veteran Services helps veterans and families connect with benefits.
