Recently Templeton had the opportunity to participate in the Heritage Landscape Inventory Program which is a collaboration among Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and its regional partners, the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) and the North Quabbin Regional Landscape Partnership (NQRLP). Townsfolk participated in this program by identifying important landscapes in town that they thought needed preservation and protection.
