Building Permit Fees
Effective April 1, 2007

Effective April 1, 2007, the following schedule, as approved by the Board of Selectmen, will be used to determine the VALUE of each specific project. The permit FEE is $8.00 per thousand dollars of VALUE (residential) and $10.00 per thousand dollars of VALUE (commercial).

NEW DWELLINGS & ADDITIONS

First Story...	$65 per sq. ft	Garage, detached...	$50 per sq. ft.
Finished second story...	$55 per sq. ft.	Accessory buildings over 120 sq. ft....	$50 per sq. ft.
Unfinished second story...	$45 per sq. ft.	Uncovered porches and decks....	$45 per sq. ft.
Finished basements or cellars...	$45 per sq. ft.	Covered porches....	$55 per sq. ft.
Unfinished basement or cellars...	$40 per sq. ft.	Additions....	$75 per sq. ft.
Garages, attached...	$40 per sq. ft.	Renovations (remodeling)....	$50 per sq. ft.

NOTE: Building permit fee will be doubled if construction is begun before a permit is issued.
Fees not specified will be determined by the Building Commissioner.
***Minimum permit fee is $40
